Coffee Consumption Associated with Reduced Risk of Heart Rhythm Hospitalizations

Some surprising findings about coffee's effects on heart rhythm disturbances may be good news for java lovers. According to new research from the Kaiser Permanente Medical Care Program in Oakland, California, people who drank one to three cups of coffee a day had a significant reduction in their risk of hospitalization for atrial fibrillation and other rhythm disturbances -- and people who drank four cups had an even greater reduction.
